... so called because they start life as a flat sheet of paper, but become three-dimensional through a few clever folds and blowing in a bit of air.

Part of a series of products born out of the competition brief '101 things to do with black paper', these confetti-filled paper curiousities not only won first prize in the competition, but were also developed into hand-made greeting cards, which were available for purchase in a number of shops in Edinburgh in the run up to Halloween.
